Erica Liedtke, MSPAS, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in the treatment of both acute and chronic pain. Originally from Asheville, NC, Erica attended the University of North Carolina where she received her undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She worked in dermatology and completed internships in both family medicine and obstetrics/gynecology.
She completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC where she graduated with honors as a Certified Physician Assistant. While at MUSC, she finished nine core rotations including interventional pain medicine, hematology/oncology, internal medicine and general surgery among others.
Recognizing the nuances and difficulties of treating chronic pain, she believes in a patient-first and evidence-based approach to pain management. She is a strong advocate of compassionate and comprehensive pain management using a multidisciplinary approach. Erica is able to perform procedures including injections, provide education on responsible use of medications, and collaborates with providers and physical therapists to address the challenges of living with chronic pain. Erica understands the fatiguing toll that chronic pain can take on patients and their families. Having a long history of chronic pain herself, she strives to return patients to a higher level of function and to improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband, Alex, and exploring the beautiful Lowcountry.
Erica sees patients at both Bluffton and Hilton Head locations.
