Dr. Ryan Hill, originally from Arkansas, completed his studies and training in a diverse array of opportunities throughout the United States. He holds board certifications in Pain Management AND Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology overseen by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
He started at the University of Mississippi for his undergraduate degree then returned to his home state to attend the University of Arkansas for his Medical Doctorate. While in medical school, he was an Officer in the United States Air Force (USAF) participating in the Health Professions Scholarship Program. Following graduation, he traveled to Des Moines, Iowa for a transitional year internship in Family Practice after which he moved to Del Rio, Texas to complete his first tour in the USAF as a Flight Surgeon. After, he continued his medical training further in Anesthesiology with a residency at the University of Miami. He then dedicated another two years of active duty as a staff anesthesiologist at Keesler Air Force base in Biloxi, Mississippi with a final rank of Major. After his time in the service, Dr. Hill moved to Columbus, Mississippi joining a private practice anesthesiology group becoming a partner where he remained for almost ten years. Ultimately, he decided to follow a new passion and returned to the University of Miami for a competitive fellowship in Interventional Pain Management overseen by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
Not one to shy away from new places and experiences, Dr. Hill and his family moved to Bluffton, SC to start a new practice where his focus is on interventional pain management for spine and peripheral joint pain. He also has a particular interest in cutting edge neuromodulation for the treatment of chronic neck, back, and nerve pain.
When not at work, Dr. Hill enjoys spending time with his wife, Bonnie, and their two boys, Riley and Rhodes. They are enjoying their new home in the Lowcountry of South Carolina!
Dr. Hill sees patients at both the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island office.
